The Fourth of July might be behind us but there is still plenty of summer left…which means that there are plenty of parties to be had. Whether you’re entertaining on your rooftop deck, high-rise balcony or grassy backyard, you’ll need plenty of cold beverages to chase the summer sun.
Luckily, we have you covered, whether you’re in the mood for a floral sangria, a fresh and fruity mimosa or a big bowl of cold party punch that you can serve over ice. Cheers!
Vanilla-Rose Sangria
Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
1 apple, peeled and quartered
10 whole cloves
1 lemon, thinly sliced rounds
1 lime, thinly sliced rounds
1 orange, thinly sliced rounds
⅓ cup vanilla sugar
½ cup brandy, chilled
1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry red wine, chilled
1 ½ cups pulp free orange juice, chilled
¼ teaspoon rose water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions: Push clove stems into prepared apple quarters and place in a large glass pitcher, along with the citrus fruit slices. Sprinkle vanilla sugar over the fruit, top with brandy and toss to coat.
Refrigerate for 4-6 hours to infuse the fruit with the brandy flavor. Before serving, remove the apple and discard. Crush the infused fruits with a wooden spoon. Add in the wine, orange juice, rose water, vanilla extract and stir. Garnish each glass with fresh mint.
Mango Mimosa
Serves – one 6 oz. serving
Ingredients
1/4 cup coconut flavored rum
Fresh or Frozen Mango Puree – 1.5 oz.
Tropicana Orange Juice – 1 oz.
Garnishes
Cantine Maschio Prosecco Brut – to fill
Lemon twist
Instructions:
Combine rum, mango and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and combine until chilled. . Add ice and shake. Strain into a champagne flute. Fill with Prosecco. Garnish with a lemon twist
Red Flower Punch Bowl
Serves 12
Ingredients:
1 cup lemonade
1 cup cranberry juice
1/3 cup raspberry puree
1/4 cup mango flavored vodka
1/4 cup raspberry flavored vodka
1/4 cup strawberry liqueur
1/4 cup Peach Schnapps
1/4 cup Triple Sec
Soda water, to fill
2 sliced oranges (optional)
4 Maraschino cherries (optional)
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a 32 oz. (quart sized) Stor-N-Pour container. Shake well and refrigerate until needed. To serve, fill punch bowl with ice, shake pre-mix and pour into punch bowl. Fill with soda water. Garnish with orange slices and cherries. For a single serving, pour 5 oz. of pre-mix into a Poco Grande glass with ice. Top with soda water and garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
