While flipping through fashion magazines each month, I always read through the beauty section to view the new products, see the trendiest looks and glean new ways to incorporate color into my makeup application.
One thing always seems to get me though: how do celebrities get these amazing eyelashes? Shame on me for being naive and thinking they were “real.” I have to admit that I do have Kardashian envy of those sexy, dramatic and flirty eyelashes. Trying to bat your lashes at the cutie across the bar is pretty difficult when they are almost non-existent. Recently, I decided to see what false eyelashes were all about and headed over to The Bridal Beauty Salon for a full-set application.
As instructed, I went into the salon with a clean face and no makeup on. My eyelash guru Sonia was truly was amazing and walked me through what she would do. I I laid down on the table while she put cream around my eyes, before taping my bottom lashes so they wouldn’t get caught on the adhesive. The technique involves attaching a single-synthetic fiber to each individual lash. The process took about an hour and a half (during most of which, I was napping) and then I was done. I was initially apprehensive, but when the process was over…WOW!
Sonia walked me over to the mirror and I was in awe with what I saw. My eyes looked wider than ever with instantly long, voluminous lashes. I didn’t need for mascara or even very much eye makeup for about a month or so because my eyes were pretty much ready to go. At $210 for a full set or $125 for a partial set, the service is a splurge…but a really great splurge that would be especially worthwhile for your next special event or wedding day.
In addition to eyelash magic, The Bridal Beauty Salon specializes in bridal hairstyles, wedding hair updos & makeup for brides and bridal parties on wedding day. Budding stylists can sign up for affordable hair and makeup seminars and anyone can shop the online boutique for a plethora of hair jewelry that will match your new ‘do, makeup or eyelash application.
