Costume parties aren’t just for Halloween. Take that flapper dress out of your closet or don your fedora and loafers for StyleChicago.com‘s second annual “The End of Prohibition” 1920′s themed party. From 6p.m.-9p.m. on Thursday, June 21st, The Red Canary will bring you back in time to celebrate the return of free flowing libations.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are sure to keep appetites satisfied all evening. American Harvest Organic Vodka, Barenjager Honey Liquer, Kentucky Bourbon, and Peroni and Batch 19 beer have replaced the bootleg moonshine libations the speakeasies once served.

In addition, on-site Elizabeth Arden and Massage Envy beauty services will be available. For entertainment, the End of Prohibition Party will have Roulette and Craps Tables on which attendees may try their luck.

The main attraction, of course, is “The Great Gatsby” costume contest. Although not required, period costumes are highly encouraged. Men may not be comfortable in a flapper dress but The Art Deco Society has some better ideas.

A general admission fee of $35 will gain you admittance into the Roaring 20s.  A $45 VIP admission fee will be available for anyone who would like to take home StyleChicago‘s highly sought goodie bag valued at more than $250. VIP ticket holders are allowed an early check-in of 5:30pm.

For more information or to purchase your ticket to the past, please visit StyleChicago. Tickets may also be directly purchased at brownpapertickets.com (event 247802).
